Michał Gontarz

I am a PhD student, living in Warsaw and working on the Faculty of Mechatronics, at the Warsaw University of Technology, as a junior researcher within the Horizon 2020 project: REVEAL. I graduated this faculty with a Masters degree in Photonics Engineering in May 2021. My thesis topic was “Application of convolutional neural network for phase unwrapping”, which was continued at the beginning of my PhD studies. During my day-to-day work I spend time researching deep learning technologies, and implementing them in my current PhD thesis, the topic of which is “QPI of live biological cells with Convolutional Neural Networks”. At this moment I am especially focused on Physics-Based Deep Learning, which I will be implementing into tomographic reconstruction.
Personally, I enjoy long walks on the beach, dogs, volleyball, food and high quality hair products.
