We were pleased to host Dr. Jonas Golde and Dr Svea Steuer from the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology (IWS) in Dresden at the Faculty of Mechatronics, Warsaw University of Technology.
During his visit, Dr. Golde delivered a lecture on advanced applications of optical coherence tomography (OCT), including middle ear and dental imaging, as well as polarization-sensitive OCT and vibrometry. Later together with Dr Steuer, they also visited our laboratory, where we discussed current research activities and exchanged ideas during a brainstorming session focused on OCT technologies and future collaborations.
Jonas Golde studied Physics at TU Dresden, specializing in Applied Solid-State Physics and Photonics. He previously worked on translational and clinical OCT research at the Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden and currently serves as Group Manager for Optical Inspection Technology at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology (IWS) in Dresden. Since 2026, he has also been active as a Research Associate at the University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau.
