We are happy to announce that our team has been awarded funding from the Medical Research Agency (ABM) for the project “Developing a Transdermal Strategy for Combating Osteoporosis through Nano-Alendronic Acid-Based Formulations with Preclinical Validation.”
The project, with a total budget of nearly EUR 2.8 million, brings together researchers from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering, the Faculty of Mechatronics, the Faculty of Physics, and the CEZAMAT Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies. The aim of the project is to develop an innovative transdermal approach for osteoporosis treatment based on nano-alendronic acid formulations and to validate its effectiveness in preclinical studies.
As part of the consortium, we will contribute our expertise in advanced, quantitative imaging methods to support the development and validation of this new therapeutic strategy. We look forward to working with our partners on this exciting interdisciplinary project.
